Center for the Study of Political Graphics

Fund: $25,000

The Center for the Study of Political Graphics (CSPG) is an educational and research archive that collects, documents, preserves, and exhibits posters relating to historic and contemporary movements for social change. Through traveling and online exhibitions, lectures, publications, and workshops, CSPG is advancing the power of art to educate and inspire people to action. CSPG’s archive contains more than 90,000 human rights and protest posters from the mid-19th century to the present. CSPG produces up to three new exhibitions yearly, organized around diverse social issues and representing the voices of marginalized communities. Distinct Community Curatorial Committees ensure that every exhibition is produced by people who have in-depth and personal experience with the exhibition topics.
