Human Resources Los Angeles
Fund: $26,000
Human Resources Los Angeles (HRLA) supports interdisciplinary, experimental work, and provides a space for communities that form around these practices. Its program is curated by a collective referred to as “keyholders.” Keyholders have diverse backgrounds, work in experimental forms, and rotate responsibilities. The current 15 keyholders are artists, curators, performers, scholars, and teachers with complimenting areas of expertise. Many of HRLA’s programs traverse disciplinary categories — work presented at HRLA often has performative, cinematic, sculptural, and sonic dimensions. It stages experimental work that may be both formally challenging and politically charged, serves a large community of emerging artists, and are a trusted partner for artists at all stages of their careers who need a space to test new ideas and engage new audiences.
