Monday Evening Concerts (MEC) presents unique artistic experiences rooted in the living legacy of classical music, offering insightfully curated programs of rare and challenging compositions performed by artists of the highest international caliber. MEC will present the West Coast premiere of Piano Concerto (Sinfonietta Version) by Los Angeles-born composer Steven Takasugi, featuring pianist Todd Moellenberg, conductor Jonathan Hepfer, and MEC’s resident ensemble Echoi. An intricate, multi-layered work that fuses live performance and theatrical staging, the concerto will be presented alongside a public conversation with Takasugi.
