The Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts Archives maintains a collection of original papers and materials related to the artist’s life and work. These materials were accumulated over the course of Mike Kelley’s life and transferred to the Foundation in 2015. The Archives also maintains the records of the Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts, which was founded by the artist in 2007 and continues his philanthropic legacy today.

The Mike Kelley Foundation is currently processing its archive of materials in order to make them accessible to researchers and scholars in the near future. While the review is in progress, the Foundation may, at its discretion, make selected items available by special arrangement to those conducting specific research on Mike Kelley or organizing exhibitions featuring his work.

The Mike Kelley Foundation Archives is happy to accept donations that fit within the scope of its collection policy. Of particular interest are photographs and direct correspondence with the artist, including email records. The Mike Kelley Foundation Archives does not acquire ancillary collections of material related to institutions or to individuals other than Mike Kelley.
