Future Roots Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the growth of positive music, arts, and culture. Their core project, dublab, is a community-supported internet radio station and creative collective focused on achieving this goal. dublab was founded in 1999 with the mission to share freeform radio transmissions with an international audience. dublab’s programming has since expanded to include the production of art exhibits, films, events, record releases, and community education projects, as well as broadcasts on affiliate stations in Germany, Japan, Spain, and Brazil. During COVID-19, dublab has produce new programming to meet their audience’s needs, including "The Quarantine Tapes," a radio and podcast series that attempts to contextualize this moment in history via daily conversations, and "Lookout FM," an educational radio project broadcast over a network of FM radio stations that draws from experimental voices in music, the arts, and academia.
