Symposium on Mike Kelley’s Kandors

Mike Kelley’s Kandors symposium was organized by the Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts and co-presented by REDCAT on November 18, 2017 on the occasion of the exhibition, Mike Kelley: Kandors 1999-2011 at Hauser & Wirth Gallery, Los Angeles. The symposium brought together noted scholars, curators, and artists encouraging dialogue and debate about this important body of work and its themes while connecting them to wider aspects of Kelley's complex and varied oeuvre. Speakers included John C. Welchman, David Mather, Sylvia Lavin, Dan Nadel, Huma Bhabha, Trenton Doyle Hancock and Thomas Crow. Many thanks to the presenters and to REDCAT for hosting the event. Special thanks to Hauser & Wirth for their additional support.

Additional videos from the symposium will be made available on our site in the near future.
